I am a firm believer in a strong national defense, supporting our troops, upholding private property rights, in the right to keep and bear arms, and the unalienable, God-given rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Having been a financial advisor for over 40 years, I am also committed to personal and national fiscal responsibility, a balanced budget and reducing our $19 Trillion debt - which will stifle our economy and enslave our children. It is simply immoral for our generation to keep charging our national credit card and going deeper in debt - a debt our children and grandchildren will have to pay off"by Matt Kokkonen
To begin, we must enforce our existing immigration laws. Employers need to use the E Verify program in hiring employees.
As your representative, I will work to protect our borders and stop illegal entry. Congress must also stop anchor baby citizenship. In addition, Obama’s executive orders, whereby he is circumventing Congress to make laws by himself, must be stopped.
All federal funds going to sanctuary states and cities, like San Francisco, must be eliminated.
Other state inducements, like giving driver licenses to the illegals need to be stopped. Significantly, our California Assemblyman Katcho Achadjian, who is also a current candidate for Congress, voted for the law –AB 60- granting these licenses to immigrants.

Congress has the responsibility to reduce unnecessary programs and expenses. Our real fiscal problem is that government spends too much.
Government needs to make it possible for people and big and small companies to create jobs and to work. Government’s responsibility is to create the environment whereby this is possible by reducing and eliminating regulations and other hindrances to productive job creation. It is not the government’s function to pick the winners or industries. This is what creates good jobs and increases revenues.
Obamacare needs to go.
It was based on misrepresentations and lies. Obama himself stated with a straight face over 20 times that if you liked your doctor you can keep him and if you like your insurance you can keep it and that your premiums would decrease by $2500/ year. What lies!
Former Chief Justice Roberts pulled a rabbit out of the hat and declared that Obamacare was a tax even though Obama’s lawyers had argued that it was not a tax.
Obama claimed it would solve the uninsured problem. There were about 30 million uninsured people before the plan was initiated and now we have about 30 million uninsured people again. And those who have the Bronze plan face a $5,000 annual deductible before benefits are paid except for one annual preventive care visit.
Obamacare has got to go!
I will fight to reverse the Iran Nuclear Treaty.
I will also fight radical Islam which is destroying Western Civilization and murdering Christians and others.
I served in the California National Guard even before I was a U.S. citizen. I supported our daughter’s goal to attend the US Air Force Academy where she was an instructor pilot to the other cadets, was an outstanding female track athlete and a top scholar. After attending Georgetown Medical School and completing her residency in Emergency Medicine at Loma Linda Hospital in, she served in Germany, was deployed to Turkey, Africa and Afghanistan and rose to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. She still serves in the Air Force Reserves. I thank her and all other military personnel for their service to our country.
We need to take care of them and fund our military adequately. For starters, let’s straighten out the VA.
We need Congress to promote energy independence as well as all forms of energy alternatives. Energy is nature’s gift to mankind.
Energy production and our environment can and should exist well together. Wise oil and gas drilling off the California coast decreases air and water pollution in San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Ventura counties.
Here are the facts:
The greatest source of petroleum pollution in U.S. waters is natural oil seepage at 63% compared to less than 1% from oil industry
Natural hydrocarbon seeps are one of the largest sources of air pollution in Santa Barbara County amounting to more than all automobile and truck traffic traveling on US 101 daily
10,000 gallons of oil pollute the Santa Barbara Channel every day from the natural oil seeps
Offshore production lowers natural oil seepage pollution by reducing the reservoir pressure significantly as shown around drilling platform Holly
Natural oil seeps along California’s central coast kill birds and marine life from Monterey to Los Angeles
Waters off UCSB have a visible oily film from natural seepage
The tar on California beaches is from natural offshore oil seepage
California and San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties are losing billions of dollars of much-needed revenue and energy resources
Expanded offshore energy production will create thousands of jobs
Slant drilling and technological advances can provide access to offshore California reserves in an environmentally safe manner and will not even impact the ocean visibly
Increased energy production will decrease foreign oil imports and foreign tankers in state waters, especially in the busy Channel
